Sermo AI Overview

  • Austedo XR is deemed effective for managing symptoms of Huntington's disease and tardive dyskinesia, although it does not cure either condition and may not work uniformly for all patients, leading to mixed evaluations by physicians.
  • Patients face significant access challenges with Austedo XR due to high costs and insurance problems, which contribute to adherence variability and can hinder consistent treatment across different indications.
  • While Austedo XR is generally viewed positively for its effectiveness and tolerability, concerns about side effects like akathisia have raised patient and physician apprehensions regarding its use, impacting overall confidence in the medication.
